Great drawing in the Old Orangery. Join us for workshops

If you would like to practise drawing in an unforgettable space of the Royal Sculpture Gallery in the Old Orangery, visit the Royal Łazienki to take part in the ‘Drawing class’ workshops. You will have an opportunity to represent copies of the most famous statues of the Ancient World in your own works.

‘Drawing class’ are workshops proposed to both amateurs of drawing as well as candidates for art schools. The classes will be held in the Royal Sculpture Gallery in the Old Orangery, where copies of the most famous statues of the Ancient World will be displayed, including the Laocoon Group, Apollo Belvedere and Farnese Flora.

The agenda of the workshops includes studies in marble statues and gypsum copies: initial sketches, study drawings, studies of figures, nudes and original tasks to be solved individually and imagination exercises. Drawings efforts will be supervised by Arkadiusz Karapuda, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The Museum will provide artistic materials, professional supervision, individual consultations and an unforgettable space favouring concentration for creative work.
