Charles Henri Nicolas Prince of de Nassau-Siegen (1745–1809), colonel in the French army, later grandee and general of the Spanish army, who was also awarded a Polish noble title, gained fame in Europe due to his participation in a voyage around the world in the years 1766–69 under the leadership of Louis Antoine de Bougainville.
