Maria Papa Rostkowska wrote that marble allows the expression of the dream of happiness – the dream of humanity. For her, working with stone and the search for form had an ethical dimension. The artist is known for her abstract works, which allude to fundamental values such as love, motherhood and courage. The Promise of Happiness is a sculpture in white marble with black veining; its polished surface allows light to pass through in places, revealing the structure of the material.
