Conservation works
One of the primary objectives of the Museum is the protection of collections, historic buildings together with their surrounding gardens. In this respect, extensive conservation projects accompanied by research activities have been carried out. As part of the Revitalization of the Royal Łazienki Museum Project for the years 2011-2014 several dozen specialist firms, conservation and research teams were contacted. These efforts resulted in hundreds of restored objects from the Royal Collections – of Paintings, Graphic Arts, Furniture and Handicraft. Works on the historic architecture covered not only its structure but also the interior design. Often, in the course of the work, interesting discoveries were made.
