The war losses of the historic objects which we can recognize in the photograph are: paintings by Jan Bogumił Plersch depicting Canton in China (destroyed); two Louis XVI-style sofas (underway); a neoclassical commode dating from circa 1784, on 1 February 1940, taken to an apartment at ul. Szopena 13 (search underway); clock (destroyed); lamp (search underway); two Louis XVI style corner cabinets (search underway); the king’s desk – found among the theatrical furnishings at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw.
