Daubenton’s bat
Myotis daubentonii
The Daubenton’s bat is the second most frequent bat in the Royal Łazienki. It is a tiny animal with rounded ears and a short muzzle. It feeds on invertebrates that it catches in flight over the water reservoirs. Similarly to its larger cousin, it reproduces in the Łazienki park. It can be found near the water, along all ponds and channels. It is a strictly protected species.
