Rook
Corvus frugilegus
The rook is another representative of the corvids. This bird nests in colonies in tall trees. In the Royal Łazienki, most of the nests can be found in the south-eastern part of the garden. It is omnivorous, but it mainly eats earthworms and insects; it rather doesn’t prey on small vertebrates. It differs from the crow in that it is all black, with a metallic, sometimes even a dark blue shine.
