Hooded crow
Corvus corone
The hooded crow is the most well-known bird of the corvids. In the Royal Łazienki, it has nests high on the trees. It is a very flexible species that can perfectly cope with any situation. The hooded crow will find everything that is edible in dustbins, but it can also hunt smaller species, such as striped field mice or young ducks. It has endless feuds with tawny owls and fieldfares. In the Łazienki gardens, it also serves a useful purpose by eating the remains of animals hunted for and left by other species.
