The black walnut is a species originating from North America. It was King Stanislaw August who brought these trees to the premises of the Royal Łazienki. The fruits of the black walnut are not too tasty, nevertheless its wood is highly valued; therefore these trees had been very often cut off. The black walnut leaves proved to be a good repellent.
