Rhododendron hybrida
The rhododendrons are part of the heather family. They come mainly from Asia, however different varieties could also be found in America and Europe. They have thick, leathery leaves on long tails. These are one of the most popular planted ornamental shrubs due to the huge number of varieties that vary both in terms of habit and colour. In the Łazienki gardens, we can find particularly impressive rhododendrons near the cascade bridge.
