Euonymus europaeus
Common spindle is a plant with a shrubby habit, growing up to 9 meters in height. Its bark has distinctive, serpentine patterns and grooving. The common spindle flourishes in summer, and its flowers are of a creamy colour. Orange seeds are hidden in red bags and remain in the tree even after the leaves have fallen. The entire plant is highly poisonous.
