Snowdrop
Galanthus nivalis
Snowdrops are among the first geophytes to appear in the Łazienki gardens. Everyone knows them and awaits the time when these tiny white bells of snowdrops enlighten the lawns. These plants are known for their thermonastic and photonastic movements. This means that they open and close depending on the temperature (when it is very cold, they protect the inside of the flower with petals) and light.
