67th season of Chopin Concerts. Inauguration in July

This year’s 67th season of Chopin Concerts will begin on 5 July 2026. Awaiting the inauguration, listeners can enjoy the Fryderyk Chopin’s musical compositions resounding in the Łazienki Gardens from mid-May to the end of June.

As planned, this year’s summer recital season will begin on the first Sunday in July. The change of the date is due to the renovation of the space around the Fryderyk Chopin Monument. The basin and the immediate surroundings of the monument are undergoing conservation and revitalisation work. All the work is carried out according to schedule, respecting the historic character of the site and its importance for the residents of Warsaw and visitors from all over the world. As a result, the space around the monument will regain its representative character; it will also be fully prepared for the inauguration of the 67th season of Chopin Concerts and the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the monument unveiling.

The organisers considered various option, including a different location of the event in May and June. In the end, they decided not to move the recitals outside the historic site. This stems from the need to respect the long-standing tradition of the Chopin Concerts, which is inextricably linked to the Fryderyk Chopin Monument in the Royal Łazienki Gardens, as well as to preserve the original formula of the event and its unique character of intangible cultural heritage.

At the same time, having in mind the expectations of the public, Stołeczna Estrada and the Royal Łazienki Museum jointly ensured that the music of Fryderyk Chopin can be enjoyed in the royal residence at the time when it traditionally resounds by the monument to the composer. From 17 May to 28 June, every Sunday at 12 noon, visitors can listen to recordings of compositions by Fryderyk Chopin in the vicinity of the Palace on the Isle. These will be interpretations performed by some of Poland’s most distinguished pianists, recorded during recitals at the Royal Łazienki Museum.

The official inauguration of the 67th season of Chopin Concerts will take place on 5 July 2026 at 12 noon at the Fryderyk Chopin Monument and will be accompanied by the inauguration of the newly renovated space around the monument.
