The Bedroom
This interior is decorated with painted wall divisions in a green colour scheme, and round medallions depicting cupids on a hunting trip; it is possible that they were made by Antoni Herliczka. 18th-century pieces of furniture decorate the room: a Baroque secretary desk, a Classicist mahogany commode with a meander frieze, a traveller, folding mahogany secretary desk-dressing table (England?, c. 1790), a sofa upholstered with French tapestries depicting scenes from La Fontaine’s fables in ovals, a rococo armchair, and a Biedermeier secretary desk with a decoration imitating furnace tiles, with two sections for writing. On the commode stands a rotary clock in the shape of a marble vase with a lid adorned with bronze elements (signed by Georg Abraham, Gdańsk, 3rd quarter of the 18th century), and on the secretary desk – a pair of marble busts made of bronze: African Man and African Woman (France, 1st half of the 19th century).
