Purchased in 2023, Italian Kitchen and Italian Spinner are copies of paintings that, prior to 1939, were housed in the Palace on the Isle. The original compositions by Hubert Robert, reproduced by Amelia Lepige, did not return to Łazienki after the Second World War. The Spinner was unfortunately lost during the war, while The Kitchen was subsequently acquired by the National Museum in Warsaw. These early copies, made by Lepige directly from Robert’s works at the Łazienki, serve as a reminder of the former wealth of the king’s collection.
