Join us for the 27th Mozart Festival, which will be held from 17 June to 9 July 2017 and will feature tens of performances and concerts. Viewers will have a special opportunity to become acquainted with stage works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – both the popular operas and pieces which are rarely played in theatres.
Concerts and performances organised during the Festival will take place in the capital’s most prestigious venues, including the Royal Theatre in Warsaw, the Museum of King Jan III Palace at Wilanów, the Royal Łazienki, the National Philharmonic, the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Radio Poland, and the Theatre of the Warsaw Chamber Opera. Tickets for respective shows will be available at the ticket offices of the Warsaw Chamber Opera and via its website.
This year’s festival will feature the most popular operas by Mozart, such as "Don Giovani" and "Così fan tutte". The audience will have a chance to listen to the following vocal-instrumental pieces by the famous composer: "Requiem" and the "Mass in C minor". The festival will also include performances by violinist Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen and a recital by Olga Pasiecznik.
Shows aimed at the youngest audience members will also be part of the programme. In the original interiors of the Palace on the Isle in the Royal Łazienki, "Bastienka" – a performance based on the "Bastien und Bastienne" opera – will be presented. It is a show for children aged 3-8 years, in the original language version, conducted by a narrator. In turn, in the Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery, children will have a chance to see "The Abduction from the Seraglio", one of the most popular works by Mozart, which will be performed as a marionette opera.
