Children and their carers are invited on Sunday to enjoy a wealth of attractions during a tour of the Palace on the Isle and the Old Orangery. Come and see how king Stanisław August lived; our museum educators will tell you about the works of art collected by the ruler in an exciting and accessible way.
Free guided tours are proposed to children aged 3 to 12 years coming with their carers. The Palace on the Isle with the Royal Painting Gallery can be visited on 20 November – guided tours start at 12.00 (noon), 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. (meeting point in the Palace on the Isle; no registration or reservation available).
Our museum educators will show children the royal chambers, that is places where king Stanisław August entertained guests, where he ate, slept or got dressed; they will also present the most valuable paintings from his collection. You will also learn some interesting facts from the life on the royal court.
Members of the ‘Arsenal’ association, who will be wearing costumes of the time, will be an additional attraction to the public. Everyone might want to take a picture with them.
One week later, on 27 November, children and their carers are invited to the Old Orangery. Guided tours start at 12.00 (noon), 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Our educators will acquaint children with the world of ancient statues from the Royal Sculpture Gallery. They will explain why the King collected them, and who they depict.
Just as in the Palace on the Isle, visitors will be entertained by the members of the ‘Arsenal’ association wearing costumes of the time.
The Sunday guided tours are organised as part of the ‘Free Admission November’ campaign in the Royal Łazienki Museum.
