Join us for free tours of the Royal Łazienki buildings on the occasion of the International Museum Day, organised by ICOM (International Council of Museums).
Between 10.00 and 18.00, it will be possible to visit the Palace on the Isle with the Royal Picture Gallery, as well as the masterpiece by Angelica Kauffmann, "Ariadne Abandoned by Theseus", displayed at the exhibition of one painting. The work comes from the Dresden State Art Collections (Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden), and is on permanent exhibition at the Old Masters Picture Gallery, one of the largest collections of European paintings in the world.
In the Old Orangery, you will have an opportunity to visit the Royal Sculpture Gallery with marble statues and plaster copies of the most important ancient and modern works. In the White Pavilion, it is worth seeing the Royal Collection of Prints, and in the Myślewicki Palace – the Rooms of Prince Józef Poniatowski.
In addition, at 11.00, 14.00, and 17.00, the Museum staff will lead guided tours of the historical interiors.
