On 12, 13, 19, and 20 August 2017, in the Royal Theatre and in the Amphitheatre, four concerts will take place as part of the "Musical Meetings in the Royal Łazienki" series. Outstanding artists will perform pieces by renowned composers such as: Johannes Brahms, Manuel de Falla, Joaquin Rodrigo, Hector Villa-Lobos, Georg Friedrich Händel and Antonio Vivaldi.
Enjoy the first concert of the "Musical Meetings in the Royal Łazienki" series on 12 August at 18.00, in the Royal Theatre. Opera soloists will perform: Sylwia Krzysiek (soprano), Monika Ledzion (mezzosoprano), Piotr Kędziora (baritone) and Tomasz Krzysica (tenor) with the accompaniment of piano four hands (Karolina Tańska, Natalia Czekała). You will have a chance to listen to all waltzes by J. Brahms, his Gypsy Songs and other piano pieces.
The second concert – this time organised in the open air – will take place on 13 August at 18.00, in the Amphitheatre (admission is free). The performance will feature pieces by the greatest Spanish and Brazilian composers, performed by guitar player Krzysztof Meisinger and soprano singer Sylwia Krzysiek. The featured songs will include "Concierto de Aranjuez" by J. Rodrigo, "Dansa del Corregior" by M. De Falla, and "Melodia Sentimental" by H. Villa-Lobos.
The third concert, devoted to Baroque music, will take place on 19 August at 18.00 in the Royal Theatre. Its programme includes music pieces by outstanding composers such as Georg Friedrich Händel and Antonio Vivaldi. They will be played by early music group Lakme Art Ensemble, under the musical guidance of Tomasz Frycz, while Marta Boberska (soprano) will perform some of the most beautiful Baroque arias.
On the following day – on 20 August at 18.00, musicians from the band Lakme Art Ensemble, conducted by Tomasz Frycz, will perform again in the Royal Theatre. On that occasion, they will perform Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Judyta Tupczyńska will give a solo violin performance.
Entry to all concerts in the Royal Theatre requires a free-of-charge entry ticket, which can be acquired at the ticket office of the Palace on the Isle (150 entry tickets available for each concert). Additional entry tickets will be granted to the first fifty people that arrive at the ticket office of the Old Orangery, one hour before the concert.
The "Musical Meetings in the Royal Łazienki" series is organised by Lakmé-Art foundation in cooperation with the Royal Łazienki Museum. Outstanding Polish opera soloists, a chamber music ensemble and early music group Lakme Art Ensemble participate in the project. For young artists performing in the Royal Łazienki this will be an opportunity to hone their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
