These light, openwork baskets were very popular. Decorated with forget-me-nots and a vine motif with flowers, the handles were modelled as stems. The baskets were used for serving fruit or as vessels for artificial bouquets of porcelain flowers and leaves on metal stems, from which carnations, tulips, and rosebuds emerged.
