Promotion of Polish culture in Italy, exchange of experiences and joint educational activities are the main assumptions of the ‘I inspire’ project, under which the Royal Łazienki Museum has been cooperating with La Venaria Reale in Turin in 2023-2024.

Nearly 200 original prints, extremely interesting for their photographic qualities, are displayed at the exhibition of the oeuvre of Benedict Henryk Tyszkiewicz, a Polish-Lithuanian aristocrat and photographer. The 19th-century works, which for years were considered lost, come from Lithuanian collections. The exhibition can be visited from 8 December 2023 to 10 March 2024 in the Kubicki Stables.

The work of Mattia Preti, an eminent Italian painter and frescoist of the Baroque period, continuator of Caravaggio style, will be presented from 20 October 2023 to 3 March 2024 at a temporary exhibition in the Officer Cadets School. The exhibition was organised jointly with the Embassy of Malta and the Maltese National Heritage Institute – Heritage Malta.

‘Italian Cuisine’ and ‘Peasant’s Home Among the Ruins’ – two 19th-century works by painter Amelia Lepige have been added to the collections of the Royal Łazienki Museum. These are further valuable paintings which contribute to the restoration of the collection of Stanisław August, partly sold by his heirs or lost in the turmoil of war.

The portrait of Stanisław August in his coronation coat and armour, a unique representation of the monarch, has enriched the collection of the Royal Łazienki Museum. The purchase of the painting was made possible thanks to the funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

‘I create happy art’, said Maria Papa Rostkowska, one of the most interesting sculptors of the 20th century, whose marble sculptures will be presented at a temporary exhibition at the Old Orangery from 9 September to 3 December 2023.

On 19 October 2023, in the presence of numerous guests, the Royal Łazienki Museum hosted the official opening of an exhibition of works by the eminent painter Mattia Preti. – We reveal the mysteries of the Baroque to you and invite you to a multi-sensory museum feast, as befits 17th century art, said Director Marianna Otmianowska during the event.

The Royal Łazienki Museum was awarded the certificate of 2023 Best Tourist Product of the Mazovian Voivodeship. The competition is coordinated by the Mazovian Regional Tourist Organisation.

Sculpture "Caryatide Carrying Her Stone" made by Auguste Rodin, an eminent French artist and forerunner of modern sculpture, will be presented on the escarpment by the Water Tower from 17 June to 19 November 2023.

The work of Frida Kahlo, one of the most eminent and interesting artists of the 20th century, will be at display during an exhibition at the Royal Łazienki Museum from 7 July to 3 September 2023. Free tours, educational guided tours, observations of the Sun through telescope and art workshops are the highlights of this year’s #PalaceDay at the Royal Łazienki. All visitors are welcome: children, youth and adults.

The 2nd edition of the international interdisciplinary academic conference "Echoes of Antiquity" will take place in June. Professionals and young researchers from various fields are invited to attend the event.

The first known photograph of the Royal Łazienki, one of the two preserved 19th-century stereo photographs by Karol Beyer, outstanding Polish photographer, was added to the museum collections.

The works of Max Liebermann, one of the most influential artists of German Impressionism, are on display at the Royal Łazienki Museum from 15 December 2022 to 2 April 2023. The exhibition consists of two paintings created in the final phase of the artist’s activity – "Park Landscape" and "Self-Portrait".
