  • ‘Emotions of the Royal Łazienki Gardens’. Scientific conference

    The historic residential gardens of the Royal Łazienki are one of the most visited sites in Warsaw. What emotions do they evoke and how are they perceived? Their perception from many perspectives is the topic of an interdisciplinary scientific conference that will take place on 12-13 September 2024 at the Palace on the Isle. We invite representatives of various scientific disciplines to participate. The discussion panel has been expanded to include new issues.

  • Exhibition: Discovered Images. Photo Aesthetics of Count Benedykt Henryk Tyszkiewicz (1852–1935)

    Nearly 200 original prints, extremely interesting for their photographic qualities, are displayed at the exhibition of the oeuvre of Benedict Henryk Tyszkiewicz, a Polish-Lithuanian aristocrat and photographer. The 19th-century works, which for years were considered lost, come from Lithuanian collections. The exhibition can be visited from 8 December 2023 to 10 March 2024 in the Kubicki Stables.

  • Exhibition: Mattia Preti. Discovering the Baroque Secrets of Malta

    The work of Mattia Preti, an eminent Italian painter and frescoist of the Baroque period, continuator of Caravaggio style, will be presented from 20 October 2023 to 3 March 2024 at a temporary exhibition in the Officer Cadets School. The exhibition was organised jointly with the Embassy of Malta and the Maltese National Heritage Institute – Heritage Malta.

  • New paintings in the collections of the Royal Łazienki

    ‘Italian Cuisine’ and ‘Peasant’s Home Among the Ruins’ – two 19th-century works by painter Amelia Lepige have been added to the collections of the Royal Łazienki Museum. These are further valuable paintings which contribute to the restoration of the collection of Stanisław August, partly sold by his heirs or lost in the turmoil of war.

  • A royal portrait in the museum’s collection

    The portrait of Stanisław August in his coronation coat and armour, a unique representation of the monarch, has enriched the collection of the Royal Łazienki Museum. The purchase of the painting was made possible thanks to the funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

    The works of Max Liebermann, one of the most influential artists of German Impressionism, are on display at the Royal Łazienki Museum from 15 December 2022 to 2 April 2023. The exhibition consists of two paintings created in the final phase of the artist’s activity – "Park Landscape" and "Self-Portrait".

  • Sztuka Domicelli Bożekowskiej to podróż przez fascynacje naturą, imponujący warsztat i niespotykana wrażliwość na ruch, gest i charakter zwierząt. Na nowej wystawie w Koszarach Kantonistów pt. "Miasto zwierząt" przyjrzycie się z bliska wizerunkom wielu gatunków: od monumentalnych bawołów i słoni, przez tygrysy, lisy i jelenie, aż po – wilki, którym Bożekowska poświęcała szczególną uwagę. Znajdziecie tu także portrety zwierząt z jej najbliższego otoczenia: Fugi – pół wilczycy, pół psa, mangusty Kitu czy fretki Pandulka. To ekspozycja, która zachwyca dociekliwością godną przyrodnika i umiejętnością uchwycenia życia w najdrobniejszym detalu.

Z tej okazji chcielibyśmy serdecznie podziękować wszystkim Wolontariuszom i Wolontariuszkom, którzy wspierają nas na różnorodnych polach muzealnej działalności - pomagają podczas organizacji zajęć edukacyjnych i akcji plenerowych, włączają się w sezonowe prace w łazienkowskich ogrodach, a także rozwijają pasje, dzieląc się z nami swoją twórczością. Na trwającej właśnie wystawie czasowej „Łazienki w zachwycie” prezentujemy efekty szeregu inicjatyw, w których ważną rolę odegrali nasi Wolontariusze, między innymi pomagając nam w ankietowaniu publiczności, prowadzeniu wywiadów.

  • Bluszcz w Łazienkach Królewskich często przyciąga Waszą uwagę - i nic dziwnego. To jedna z roślin, o którą pytacie nas najczęściej: czy jest bezpieczna dla drzew, czy “nie zarasta za bardzo”, czy powinna rosnąć w zabytkowym parku? Dziś z przyjemnością odpowiadamy na te wątpliwości i pokazujemy, dlaczego bluszcz pospolity (Hedera helix), obecny w Łazienkach od lat 70., jest ważnym i cennym elementem ogrodowego krajobrazu. Bluszcz pospolity, rodzimy gatunek pnącza, został wprowadzony do ogrodów łazienkowskich w drugiej połowie lat 70. XX wieku. Dziś stanowi naturalny i pożądany element kompozycji ogrodu klasycystycznego i krajobrazowego jakim są Łazienki Królewskie.
