The 21st Century Garden. Consultations with residents and non-governmental organisations
Several dozens people participated in public consultations on the "21st Century Garden" project, which took place on 10 May in the Officer Cadets School in the Royal Łazienki. Designers and experts answered numerous questions, including those regarding the impact of the investments on the environment.

The official opening of the Dutch Flower Garden and the private view of the exhibition of one painting - "Flowers in a Glass Vase” - inaugurated the Dutch Days in the Royal Łazienki on 28 April. Both events took place on the day when Dutch people celebrate the King’s Day.

The Old Orangery has regained its former excellence. As a result of the works conducted by conservators, the building looks and functions as it used to at the time of Stanisław August. The funds for the renovation which took place between 2012 and 2016 were provided from the Norway Grants and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Strolls with lanterns, spectacular illuminations, concerts, and a presentation of historical costumes - these were the main attractions of the Winter Evening of Light in residencies which, together with the Royal Łazienki, participate in the "Gardens of Light" project. Those are: the Muskau Park of Prince Pückler in Bad Muskau, the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum in Saint Petersburg, the Prince Kung’s Mansion in Beijing, Château de Lunéville in France, and the Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød, Denmark.

More“La serva padrona” in the Royal Theatre. A cunning maid and a bachelor under the thumb in the marionette opera
The famous work "La serva padrona” (“The Servant Turned Mistress”) by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, telling a funny story of a wealthy bachelor terrorized by a maid, will be available to see in February in the Royal Łazienki. The show, performed as a marionette opera, will be prepared by the Warsaw Chamber Opera as part of the "Baroque in the Royal Theatre" series. Tickets are for sale at the ticket offices of the Museum and the Warsaw Chamber Opera.

A marble bust of the ancient goddess Diana which was lost during World War II has returned to the Royal Łazienki. The 18th century sculpture, which was found in a Vienna auction house, has been officially entrusted to the Museum by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage - Professor Piotr Gliński. Diana is beautiful. It is remarkable that this work of art is with us again - said Professor Gliński during the press conference.
